I haven't posted a Geek on a Budget in a while but something budget related I have been doing lately is pruning or being selective with my subscriptions. Then getting rid of the ones I don't really use. These days, there are so many things we have subscribed to whether it's book of the month memberships, groceries, clothing memberships, beauty products, geek, gamer or nerd boxes, music, streaming services, etc. There's nothing wrong with subscribing to a lot of stuff but if they're starting to add up or you've lost interest in some, why not unsubscribe and get rid of some of them.
If you don't cancel or unsubscribe, those monthly recurring charges will continue to chip away at your finances. Which truly is a problem if you're trying to save money. It might seem like an inconvenience at first but go through your bank or credit card statements to see all the subscriptions you have and make a list of them. Then you can see which ones you want to get rid of and depending on how many, you could end up saving a good amount of money.
