Review:

This was fantastic. I absolutely loved this.

In this volume, there were two different stories. The first story "A Revolution in Oz" featured 14 short chaptered stories that followed a renegade group which was lead by Bufkin, one of the flying monkeys and Lily, his diminutive yet fiercely loyal girlfriend as they try to over throw the evil Nome King who was ruling Oz. The last chapter in this story detailed the many adventures of Bufkin, Lily and Hangy the rope as they spent their lives after the revolution.

I thought this was very well written and full of humor. It felt like I was reading a continuation of the original world of Oz created by L. Frank Baum.

The second eight chapter story "Snow White" focused on Snow White and her husband Bigby Wolf as they try to find two of their children who have gone missing. With Bigby away on the task of finding their children, Snow White found herself in a difficult situation back in Fabletown with the return of her long ago betrothed Prince Brandish. The Prince was a complete jerk and but even though Snow White was able to take care of the situation in a all out fight with the jerk he may have cost her the love of her life.

This was very good. The Fable series is one the best around. It has taken a wonderful approach at updating beloved fables and turning them into something fresh and new. I look forward to reading more from this series.
