Book Review: Is A Worry Worrying You?

Book: Is A Worry Worrying You? by Ferida Wolff and Harriet May Savitz with illustrations by Marie Le Tourneau

Source: Borrowed from publisher/NetGalley for an honest review

Publication: Available now

Description:

Suppose, just suppose, one hundred elephants come to tea and you discover you don't have any tea bags.

Uh, oh. What will you do with a herd of thirsty elephants? Now that's a worry! But you can get rid of that worry by offering the elephants lemonade instead.

Adults think of childhood as a carefree time, but the truth is that children worry, and worry a lot, especially in our highly pressurized era. This book addresses children's worries with humor and imagination, as hilarious scenarios teach kids the use of perspective and the art of creative problem-solving.

Rating: 5 stars

Review:

Know a child (or adult) that tends to worry? And in this day in age, who's not worrying about something. And unfortunately children don't have the luxury of being worry free as they used to be.

That's why I think this book is simply wonderful. It's cute and funny yet shows children how to not let worrying ruin their day as well as give them creative and realistic suggestions that they can use to let go of worrying.

I have to say, I absolutely love the artwork, it has a sort of whimsical Tim Burton feel to it.

Even though this is for children, I think even adults could benefit from reading this.
