Fandom Friday: Teen Wolf's Kira Yukimura Should Have a Book Series

Why was there only one Teen Wolf novel published? Despite On Fire by Nancy Holder, which was published by MTV books in 2012, selling relatively well (which I still need to read) there have been no sequels or additional books released. It should also be noted that the book is considered to be non-canon to the TV series.

After the TV series ended last year, I wonder why MTV didn't consider continuing it through novels especially since there is still a lot of fan interest in the series. And there is one character who I think should be the first to get a three book series and that's Kira Yukimura.

What I like about Kira was that she started out as the shy new girl but ended up becoming a strong and confident person. She also found out that she was a Kitsune (a supernatural fox like creature), her only problem was that she started to lose control of her powers and needed additional help. She left to go train with the Skinwalkers at the end of the fifth season.

Her story was left unfinished and to make matters worse her character was written out of the series for the sixth and final season. Kira's leaving left too many unanswered questions for fans. Such as how long did it take for her to complete her training with the Skinwalkers and once completed where did she go from there? Did she end up going back to Beacon Hills? Was she still part of Scott McCall's pack? If not, did she end up creating her own pack some where else?

A book series for Kira could answer all those questions and provide additional information such as what type of supernatural adventures she got into while on her own away from the pack. I really wish a Teen Wolf book series was being considered because books are a great way to continue the series.

Kira is my number #1 choice for having a book series but I was thinking maybe in other Fandom Friday posts I could post some more ideas for other Teen Wolf characters who should get a book series.
