Book Review: 'Salem's Lot

Book: 'Salem's Lot by Stephen King

Description:

Something strange is going on in Jerusalem's Lot ... but no one dares to talk about it. By day, 'Salem's Lot is a typical modest New England town; but when the sun goes down, evil roams the earth. The devilishly sweet insistent laughter of a child can be heard echoing through the fields, and the presence of silent looming spirits can be felt lurking right outside your window.

Rating: 5 stars

My Review:

I truly enjoyed reading this. To me, this is how I picture vampires (blood thirsty and cruel) not looking for love. Stephen King did an amazing job with this book.

It was truly creepy and one the best. This is worth the five stars because it's very well written and good old fashion scary. It was set in a small town in Maine but there was nothing idyllic about it. There was a dark secret lurking underneath. Stephen King knows how to work with the fear that most people fear the dark and the monsters that resound there.

Again I really enjoyed this book and if you're looking for something scary to read for Halloween try this book.
