Book Review: Charmed Season 9 vol 1

Book: Charmed Season 9 volume #1 by Constance M. Burge and Paul Ruditis (issues #0-5)

Rating: 4 stars

Review:

I read the trade edition instead of the single issues.

This turned out to be a pretty good read and it's written in a way so that you wouldn't necessarily have had to watch the show to follow along. However, they do include the little touches that fans of the series would notice.

This takes place after the ending of the last episode and follows as the sisters along with their families enjoy the peace of no more demon/evil hunting. But things don't stay quiet for long, soon the Source (of all evil) was returning with a little help from two opportunistic demons.

This ended with a cliff hanger and I can't wait to pick up the second volume to see what going to happen next. I enjoyed reading this, it was funny and action packed just like the TV show. I like the artwork it was bright and colorful and the sisters were shown wearing fashionable and stylish clothes like they wore on the show. I also like that they made references to Prue, I do hope that she's featured in a future issue.

Overall, this was really good.
