Book Review: Dilton's Strange Science #1

Book: Dilton's Strange Science issue #1 (1989)

Rating: 3 1/2 stars

Review:

The brainiest of the Archie gang, Dilton Doiley got a chance to shine in this series which includes two stories. In the first, "Working Out The Bugs!", Dilton meets genius Danni Malloy and after showing her some of his inventions around his lab they went outside so Dilton could demonstrate one of his latest inventions, a shrink ray.

Dilton and Danni were both shrunk by the ray and gave them a ant size view of the world which had them trying to avoid being stepped on. It's a good thing the rays effects were only temporary or they would have found themselves being a meal for a very hungry mouse.

Once they found themselves back to normal, the two were going to head over to Pop Tate's which leads the reader to the second story "Big Trouble in Space". Dilton's shrink ray caught the eye of two aliens who planned to use the device to help take over the Earth. Dilton and Danni had to try to stop the aliens in a rather inventive way.

This was a fun comic and it also included a experiment at the end for those looking to further their interest in science.
