Rating: 1 star (Boring)

Review:

Well, what can I say? Um, it wasn't exactly the most interesting book. It was rather boring and quite awful. The story was set during an apocalyptic time where some people have turned into mutants and zombies. Then one day, something terrible happened to Mrs. Clause, when a group of marauders ransacked Santa's home and workshop where they ended up killing many of the elves and Mrs. Clause. Santa unable to deal with the loss of his wife, decides to give up on Christmas. He then spends most of the story sinking into despair and attempting to end his life. But he can't die, no matter how hard he tries because as long as there is at least one child who still believes, Santa will never die. And even though almost all the children had given up on Santa, there was still one little boy who still believed.

Side note: I am so tired of the kill off or harm the love interest so the hero can wallow in despair until they finally get off their butt to do something plot device. Most of the story had Santa sinking lower and lower into pitiful existence. That is until he disappointed the little boy and then he finally started to get his life back together once the boy found himself needing help.

This was supposed to be a humorous story but it wasn't even funny it felt like the story was trying too hard to be funny. Something else that annoyed me about this book was the only woman who somehow survived was only there as eye candy. So besides being sexist it was also mildly racist with a few scenes.

I thought this was gory just to be gory since there wasn't much of a story there. I really wished this had been more interesting but it wasn't.

What a horrible book.
