Book: The Glorkian Warrior Delivers a Pizza by James Kochalka

Description:

The Glorkian Warrior isn't the brightest bulb in the box, so it's good he's got his trusty talking backpack to advise him as they set out on a perilous journey to deliver a pizza. The pizza's got clams and peanut butter on it, so it's not clear who's going to want it, but deliver it they will. With bright, lively illustrations and classic pratfalls, this graphic novel for kids is 112 pages of super icky gross-out humor and ludicrously bad decisions— in other words, The Glorkian Warrior Delivers a Pizza is a winner.

Review:

Reading this turned out to be the perfect lunch time read. This was so funny! If this had me laughing so much, I'm pretty sure kids (who this is geared to) will find this funny as well.

The story follows as The Glorkian Warrior and his talking backpack set out to deliver a pizza after receiving an emergency call from someone ordering a pizza. The backpack as it turns out is so much smarter than The Glorkian Warrior suggested that the call was a wrong number but that didn't stop Glorkian from wanting to deliver a pizza even if it was some old pizza he found in his frig.

This adventure turned out to be plague with disasters from the minute they started from crashing the supercar to fighting off aliens trying to get the pizza.

The Glorkian Warrior Delivers a Pizza was absolutely hilarious and it's a perfect read for kids and adults. And I love the zany artwork, it truly goes with the story.
