Review:

The subject matter for this story is quite disheartening because although it's fictional unfortunately these things do happen in real life. The story dealt with religion, child abuse, child pornography, murder and revenge.

The story opened with 14 year old Christopher Pesner murdering his mother's former boyfriend. As the story goes on the reader finds out why Chris has been going on a murdering spree. It also ties into the past of Joshua Selba a singer in a rock band whose lyrics tell the story of pain and sorrow.

Even though I thought the story was good I gave it only 3 1/2 stars because the story started out a little slow and when it did pick up, the story loses a little momentum with it continuously switching back and forth from the past to the present for both Chris and Josh.

13:24 was very well written as well as haunting because despite being fiction, it makes you feel so bad for anyone who has had to endure anything that is even remotely close to what's going on this story.

This story might not be for everyone but I think it's worth reading. Honestly, I did feel a little emotionally drained after reading this.
