Review:

By now who has not read or seen something about zombies. The stories have almost become run of the mill. But Marvel did something interesting because all the heroes (and villains) who survived the attack became zombies and even though they (the heroes) knew what they were doing as zombies was wrong they couldn't stop it all they could think about was the hunger.

In the first group of stories, the Ultimate Fantastic Four's Reed Richards was working on a device with the help of an alternate Earth's Reed Richards (via hologram) that will allow UFF's Reed to open a portal into the other's world. Unbeknownst to UFF's Reed, he was being tricked and when he ventured to the other world he found it plagued by zombies.

This led to a whole host of problems, with help from UFF and surprisingly Magneto, Reed and few survivors were able to escape but not before the zombie FF made their way to Reed's world. There was even more to this story that includes the Silver Surfer and Galactus.

The other stories include a back story that shows how the zombie crisis started and another that featured the New Fantastic Four (Johnny, Storm, Ben and the Black Panther) who had been transported to another universe. Which had them land on a Skrull planet. But you would think that would be bad enough but that's not even the worse part. The planet was being attacked by cosmic powered zombies (this ties into the other story).

This turned out to be better than I expected because it didn't feel like I had seen or read it before. The stories were dark yet humorous (though the humor was dark). It was also sad because these once heroic characters had turned into monsters.
