Review:

This book was more science than story and it had a very choppy and clunky way of telling the story. I like science but I wasn't expecting the story to be bombarded with so much science that the story was nearly non-existence.

The story started out good but dissolved into a science text book with a little story telling. Frank Einstein and the Antimatter Motor is about Frank Einstein a boy who loves science and conducting various experiments. He and his best friend Watson are both working on projects to enter in the Midville Science Competition. Frank hopes to win so he can help his grandfather Al's struggling repair business and to keep his archnemesis T. Edison from getting his hands on the shop.

An accident occurred while Frank was working on an invention creating two very advanced robots Klink and Klank. He had no desire to enter them in the competition since he felt he didn't really create them so he works with Watson to see what other inventions he could come up with. Things were going fine until his robots were stolen but it didn't take him too long to figure out who may have took them.

I wish this had been a better read but it truly suffered from too much science and might I add science that feel more advanced for the target audience of this book. However, what I did like about this was the cute artwork and diagrams that were shown throughout.

Sorry, but this story was too dull and boring and after a while I started to get annoyed by the robots. They were okay in small increments but the constant banter between them and Frank didn't improve the story. I thought the characters: Frank, Watson, grandpa Al and T. Edison were okay but it would have been even nicer to have seen more of them in place of so much science.

I think it's wonderful the author was trying to make science cool and interesting for kids but it ended up feeling like a boring text book instead of a good story.
