Review:

Well, this was a most unusual story but that turned out to be a good thing. The story takes place in London but it centers around four different time periods and four different people and a murder victim. The funny thing is everything is somehow connected.

In 1890, Inspector Edmond Hilllinghead found the body of a man in an alley but it's a murder no one wants him to solve. Every turn of his investigation is met with confusion and conspiracy as well as making him acknowledge a part of himself he tries his best to deny.

Meanwhile in 1940 during World War II, Inspector Charles Whiteman, a crooked cop is trying to pen a murder he committed on a Nazi soldier. But when the body in the alley turns out not to be the man that Whiteman killed, he's going to have to resort to drastic measures to get himself out of trouble.

In 2014, Detective Sergeant Shahara Hasan is trying to keep the peace when racist rioters are causing trouble all in the so called name of patriotism. But when a man's body is found in an alley, can Hasan piece together the clues before she's made the scapegoat.

The last part of the story is set in 2050 and follows a young woman going by the name Maplewood. She's trying to understand why a man's body was found on the street. It's hard for her to grasp anything because this takes place during an apocalyptic event that somehow fried everyone's mind. It's very hard to think straight let alone try to solve a mystery.

Bodies does start out as a confusing mind trip but as the story moved along I began to get a better understanding as to what was going on and how everything was connected. The story did keep my interest which also included quite a few twists and turns. I really wanted to know how the body of the same man was found in four different eras. The writing for this was very good and a little twisted at times. I like the artwork which was created by four different artists, it complimented each part of the story.

This was a strange story but I liked it.
