According to io9, in the new Man of Steel movie, Krypton did not get destroyed. Here's the information:
Supposedly in Man of Steel, Superman’s home planet of Krypton does not explode. At all. Baby Kal-El is shot into outer space, either because he’s special and thus considered dangerous by other Kryptonians. Rumor has it, Kal-El is the only Kryptonian who wasn't genetically engineered to be a soldier or scientist, and instead was just born naturally, making him an abomination on Krypton. Also, there may have been a Kryptonian civil war. But when Zod comes to Earth, part of his plan is to bring Kal-El back to Krypton.
If this is true, then this will change a big part of the Superman story. Again if this is true, it's very disappointing that they keep making all of these unnecessary changes. Superman's origin story is iconic and really doesn't need any drastic changes and since everyone basically knows it, I don't see why they just didn't make a Superman movie that focused on something else. There are thousands of Superman stories, why keep rehashing his origin.
I will give Superman Returns this, they tried something different. It might not have been great with the movie being so dark and grim (not to mention having a lackluster Lois Lane) but it wasn't another retelling of Superman's origins.
So I really just hope this is just a bad rumor and not another bad decision to change what didn't needed to be changed.
