Review:
I found this story to be a page turner, I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. It was full of drama and suspense as main character Sani Natonaba tried to figure out a way to not only protect his mother and grandfather (who was suffering from a severe stroke and left unable to speak nor move) but also all of their livestock.
Because once nightfall struck, something came out of the shadows to viciously attack their animals and was quickly inching it's way closer to them.
From Sani's discoveries and hints from his grandfather, he found an unsettling connection to the Anasazi and the creatures that were attacking them. But even with that knowledge could he possible stop them.
I truly enjoyed reading this mystery because it's captivating and smartly written. The threats felt real and frightening. And I loved the twist at the end, it was very interesting. This creepy yet intelligent story shows how far someone will go to protect their family and what it means to be a family.
I hope to read more from this author in the future because this story was a really good read. If you plan on reading this, don't forget to read the Author's Notes at the end of the story, it's very informative.
