Comic Book News: Two DC Comics Canceled Series to Relaunch this Summer: Teen Titans and Dick Grayson (?)

The recently canceled Teen Titans series just ended but news broke that a new series will be relaunched, most likely because the first New 52 version was considered to be one of the worst series in the DC's lineup.

The new series will feature Wonder Girl, Beast Boy, Raven, Bunker and Red Robin. But Since this is a relaunch they should start all over and forget about everything that was shown in the prior series. Which means they should still have Superboy, Kid Flash and a few more characters like Static, Aquagirl, Miss Martian and others added to the team. I am glad that Beast Boy is back to being green, I still don't understand why they turned him red.

I feel like this is the perfect time to bring back all the good things that made the Teen Titans such a fan favorite. I also hope Tim will get his old personality back and will not be another jerk in this.

The relaunched series will have Wil Pfeiffer as the writer with Kenneth Rocafort on illustrations and will be published in June.

I'm not sure what I think about this new series for Dick Grayson, which will be titled "Grayson". He's going to be a spy for the agency Spyral at the urging of Batman who suggest Dick should consider staying "dead". Especially since everyone knows his identity.

So to all his family and friends (minus Batman), he's going to pretend to be dead so he can now be James Bond. I hope this will not be another dark and grim series, which was a constant complaint from fans for the soon to be ending Nightwing series (the last issue will be out in May due to DC delaying the issue). I wonder what name Dick will go by now.

The picture shows his new costume which isn't really much of a costume.

The writers for the series will be Tim Seeley and Tom King with illustrations by Mikel Janin and it set to be published on July 2nd.

I have to wait and see. I'm not totally sold on buying either book yet.
