Book Review: Love vol #1: The Tiger

Book: Love volume #1: The Tiger by Frederic Brremaud with illustrations by Federico Bertolucci

Source: Borrowed from Publisher/NetGalley for an honest review

Publication: Available now

Description:

A day in the life of the king of the jungle, this lavishly illustrated story follows a single majestic tiger through a wordless adventure of survival as it hunts prey and defends itself from other would-be killers defending their territory.

This exciting tale is told without narration or dialogue, conveyed entirely through the beautiful illustrations of Federico Bertolucci.

A beautiful, all-ages title that explores genuine natural behavior through the dramatic lens of Disney-esque storytelling.

Like a nature documentary in illustration.

Rating: 5 stars

Review:

This was amazing. Love vol #1 is a beautifully drawn story about a tiger and surprisingly there are absolutely no words, dialogue or text included in it.

As a kid, I loved watching those animal documentaries on TV, visiting the zoo and reading books about animals. What can I say, I was a kid who was fascinated by animals. Which is why I love this book because it makes you feel as if you're watching a documentary or right there experiencing a day in the life of this tiger and numerous other animals.

The story is exciting, dramatic and a little heartbreaking but then again that's nature. This was wonderfully done.
