News: Wal-Mart will not sell Ronda Rousey's upcoming book because she's "too violent"

Whether the statement that "Wal-Mart won't be selling Ronda Rousey's book due to her being too violent" is true or not (the story originated from the New York Post's Page Six), her upcoming autobiography "My Fight/Your Fight" is receiving a ton of publicity. The book is scheduled to be released on May 12th.

If Wal-Mart does refuse to sell the book, then I find the company's excuse to be totally ridiculous since they sell guns and other paraphernalia in their store but they won't sell a book because they feel the author is too violent. Rousey is a MMA Fighter (and actress) but that doesn't mean she is out there fighting people in the street. She's a trained fighter as well as being an Olympic medalist.

This sounds like poor decision making by some executive over at Wal-Mart if this turns out to be true. So far no official statement from Wal-Mart has been released.
