Review:
It's almost hard to put into words how good this book was. Gloria Steinem has lived and continues to live an amazing life and it all began with her family's time on the road when she was a little girl.
This was very well-written as she reflected on how her life has cumulated to being on the road. What started out as her family's unconventional way of life traveling around with her never feeling as if she had a place to call home as a little girl later turned into a standard part of her life as an adult. From her travels for work as a freelance writer to her life really transforming once she became an activist and organizer.
She recalled many historical events that she witnessed and was a part of as well as the history that she made with not only the Women's Rights Movement but with other areas of change. You get so much insight, inspiration and thought-provoking information in this book.
Although there are only seven chapters it feels like so much more as she details and describes a range of topics that of course center around her life on the road. I really like this book and as soon as I finished reading it, I added it to my wishlist. I really would like to read this again.
