365 Days of Books of Interest: Day #12: Revealing Hannah: The Myth of Cassandra

There is a huge market for mythology based books aimed at young adults but there doesn't seem to be a the same number of books for adults. Nothing against young adult or Rick Riordan books, but sometimes it nice to read about older characters.

Which brings me to today's book of interest, I recently found. I like the description, it seems like the story will be something very different.

Book: Revealing Hannah: The Myth of Cassandra by Laura Fedolfi

Description:

A week away from graduating and all Hannah Summers has to do is make it across campus in high heels without falling over, turn in her senior thesis, and meet Carl, her very nice boyfriend, for dinner with his rather awful parents. A straightforward plan. What could possibly go wrong?

Unfortunately for her, quite a bit. The Greek gods she’d studied in school are about to put a major wrinkle in her carefully crafted future. Though the Olympians are no longer worshiped, they are immortal and need to make their way in the modern world. Apollo, god of the Sun, meets a publicist who convinces him that the time is ripe for a comeback, complete with a marketing strategy for re-branding himself. All he needs is a descendant of Cassandra’s.

Much like her ancestor, Cassandra, Hannah’s life is about to veer way off course, and the events that follow will challenge her ingenuity, her relationships, and possibly her life…..

Revealing Hannah The Myth of Cassandra is the first book in the Revealing Hannah Greek Myth Series. Follow the adventures of Hannah as she navigates her first years after college. Imagine trying to sort out work, life and love with the added complication of having your fate entwined with the Greek gods. Each book focuses on a particular myth and takes you on an entertaining trip down the labyrinthine path of Hannah's quest for a life of her own making....
