Comic Book News #2: comiXology offering a new Unlimited Service

comiXology is introducing a new service called comiXology Unlimited and according to the website: readers can explore thousands of digital comics, graphic novels and mangas for $5.99 a month. Once the comics are downloaded, you can read offline. There is a 30-day free trial, so you can try it out before committing to the service. It's stated that you can cancel the service at anytime. For more information click here.

So far, DC Comics and Marvel have not included any of their products to be streamed with the service. However, Marvel does have their own Unlimited service starting at $9.99 a month, for more information click here.

Since, I mainly buy my comics in print, this service would probably be a waste for me. But I can see it being a good deal for those who buy a lot of digital comics or are new to comics and this would give this an entry point. I have a question, will creators be in anyway compensated from this service especially since their products are being offered for free?
