Tim Drake Tuesday: Red Robin #1 (with a little commentary)

Similar to creating my Lois Lane Friday posts, I feel like Tim Drake doesn't get enough appreciation. Which is why I decided to make Tuesday the official Tim Drake day. Starting off with the first cover of the Red Robin series.

I loved the Red Robin series so much not only was it well written but it gave readers a different take on Tim Drake. When he started out as Robin he was a bit more carefree and happy but over time his personality started to change into something more quiet and withdrawn. He internalized a lot of things more than he use to. Something else I noticed that unlike in the Robin series (well at least not until near the end), it felt like Tim had finally grown into a person who was more self assured and independent.

When Tim set off on his quest to find Bruce, at the time he was the only one who believed Bruce was alive, he went without anyone knowing. He was completely on his own, that is until Ra's al Ghul decided he had found the perfect person to take over as head of the League of Assassins. Which added quite a few complications along the way for Tim.

I really enjoyed reading the Red Robin series, If you haven't had a chance to read it yet. I would like to recommend it. The series may not be easy to find in print but it available in digital.
