Review:

There are three ghostly tales featured in this issue:

Story #1: On Your Marks Get Set...Ghost! by Sholly Fisch, illustration by Fabio Laguna, colors by Heroic Age and letters by Saida Temofonte

Fred, Velma, Daphne, Shaggy and Scooby are in the right place assisting as pit crew for race car driver Earl Daleheart. Because a monster, Terry the Terror has been haunting the race track. And when it takes aim at Earl, it knocks him out of the race. While the gang try to help a dizzy and unsteady Dale and find clues to the monster's attack, Shaggy and Scooby in an attempt to get away from the monster take off in Dale's car.

With Shaggy and Scooby racing around the track trying to get away from Terry the Terror, Velma found a clue that may work in solving the case and capturing the monster.

Story #2: The Freeloading Ghost by Darryl Taylor Kravitz, illustration by Karen Matchette, colors by Heroic Age and letters by Randy Gentile

After the gang solved a mystery involving a ghost being used to scare people in a real estate scam. The ghost in question with no where else to go decides to haunt Scooby and the gang's home. It stowed away in the Mystery Machine but the gang didn't find it until Daphne was looking for the snacks she put in the van for Shaggy and Scooby.

I loved that Scooby was so afraid of the ghost until it took his box of Scooby Snacks then bravely scared away the ghost. I guess he's not going to let anyone steal his favorite treats including a ghost. This one ends on a bit of cliffhanger with the ghost finding their address with possible plans to still haunt them. I wonder if this continues in the next issue or if it's just a one off.

Story #3: The Not-So Great Race! by Jymn Magon, illustration by Leo Baltic, ink by Horacio Ottolini, color by Heroic Age and letters by Travis Lanham

Does race car driving attracts ghost? It appears so because in this story, the gang entered the Coup Deville Rally to see if they can they solve the mystery of a ghost car terrorizing racers. They were told by a TV reporter that the ghost was of a legendary actress who had died years ago.

With so many of the contestants being sidelined the gang has a plan to solve the mystery before they become the ghost's next victim.

The stories in this issue were fast-paced with each writer creating an interesting story even if they are a little on the short side. I love reading issues of Scooby Doo! Where Are You? because it's just like watching the animated movies and series. Although you don't get as much time to solve the mystery before the big reveal as with the cartoons, this was still a fun read.
