Currently Reading: Shop Till You Drop

I've read other books (#3-6) from this series but I never read the first book until now. It's been a few years since I've read anything from this cozy mystery series and it should be interesting starting from the beginning.

Book: Shop Till You Drop (A Dead-End Job Mystery book #1) by Elaine Viets

Edition: Hardcover

Description:

Helen Hawthorne once had a house in St. Louis, a husband and a six figure salary. Now she's on the lam from a past she'd rather forget and -- to keep her profile low -- working off the books at Fort Lauderdale's snooty boutique, Juliana's. It's the in-place for fashionistas with big fat wallets and super-thin bodies...if you don't count the collagen injections and the silicone breasts.

Helen feels like a fish out of Florida water there, especially compared to Juliana's uber-sales manager, Christina, who's living proof that beauty is only skin deep. However, she has a hunch Christina is supplementing her income in nefarious ways...a hunch that's confirmed when her body is found in a barrel in Biscayne Bay. Now it dawns on Helen that -- in order to keep her past from catching up with her -- she'll have to trap a killer who thinks murder is always in style.
