Weekend Film: Mystery 101 (Hallmark)

The premise for Mystery 101 reminds me of another Hallmark Movies and Mysteries channel series, Murder 101 which was a four movie series (that ran from 2006-2008) which starred the legendary Dick Van Dyke as Criminology Professor Dr. Jonathan Maxwell and his son Barry Van Dyke as Private Detective Mike Bryant.

It will be interesting to see how Mystery 101 will be as it stars Jill Wagner and Kristoffer Polaha as the Professor and Detective trying to solve a mystery. I find it funny how Hallmark really likes to recycle actors because this is the second movie Wagner and Polaha will have starred in together. The first was Pearl in Paradise which I thought was really good and it premiered last year on the Hallmark channel (and for anyone who hasn't seen it, the movie is re-airing this Monday at 6:00 PM EST).
