Why Didn't Crazy Rich Asians Get Nominated For An Oscar?

I'm still disappointed that Crazy Rich Asians didn't get an Oscar nomination. I don't understand how the movie, actors, director, costumes, cinematography, etc. were overlooked. This movie has a great story that's filled with drama, comedy, romance and fabulous fashion. It's actually a wonderful adaption of the book by Kevin Kwan.

I know being nominated or winning an award doesn't prove that something is good but it's unbelievable that this fantastic movie has been completely snubbed.
