Hallmark's "Garage Sale Mysteries" Should Continue Without Lori Loughlin

With Hallmark cutting ties with Lori Loughlin, I hope that doesn't mean it's the end of the Garage Sale Mysteries movie series. The series, which is one of my favorites, follows Jennifer Shannon (Lori Loughlin) who co-owed an antique store with her best friend Danielle (Sarah Strange) and always found herself involved in a mystery. Besides owning a business, she had a loving family her husband Jason (Steve Bacic) and their two children: Hannah (Sara Canning), a college student and Logan (Connor Stanhope), a high school student.

The movie series can still continue without Loughlin, they can write her character out and then focus the series on Hannah who after graduating from college takes over her mother's half of the antique business and of course solving mysteries. However, if Hallmark doesn't want to get rid of the Jennifer character they could recast the role. Other shows and movies have replaced actors for instance, Don Cheadle replaced Terrance Howard as James Rhodes in the Iron Man movies. I think an awesome replacement for Loughlin would be Lauren Graham, and being such a fan favorite, she could easily take on the role and make it her own while bringing a new and interesting take on the character.

I think it would be so disappointing if Loughlin cost the cast and crew of the Garage Sale Mysteries their jobs but Hallmark made the right call to let her go. This is a huge scandal she's involved in and Hallmark couldn't just look the other way and pretend one of their main stars is not at the center of a controversy. This series is too wonderful to let end hopefully they will continue it in some shape or form.
