Review:

Deadpool v Gambit is an interesting miniseries with these to wayward heroes constantly finding themselves in the middle of trouble due to their own terrible choices.

This story opens with Deadpool and Gambit reminiscing about the last time they saw each other. It was when Daredevil and Spider-Man were fighting throughout New York City but things are truly not what they seem because it turns out it wasn't the heroes but Gambit and Deadpool dressed up as them. The fight was an ingenious scam thought up by Mr. Chalmers as a way for Deadpool and Gambit to steal from various thieves and crooks without them knowing. Unfortunately, the real Spider-Man and Daredevil were blamed and had to deal with the crooks retaliating.

Don't think Gambit and Deadpool got away scot-free because after they got into a real fight they soon realized that they got scammed by Mr. Chalmers. It's sort of fitting since they got Daredevil and Spider-Man in trouble with a bunch of crooks.

You would have thought those two would have learned not to trust Mr. Chalmers but no they got talked into doing another heist with him. According to Mr. Chalmers, they were supposed to target Peng Lai, a businessman who was in New Orleans, so they could acquire a priceless artifact. In what should have been an easy heist was turning into nothing but trouble.

It became even worse when they found out who "Peng Lai" really was along with Mr. Chalmers yet again double crossing them. Those two never learn and to add to their troubles, their mutant abilities were out of control. They knew who was behind their wonky powers but the mutant behind it, the Scrambler was being mislead by Mr. Chalmers into targeting them.

Their troubles keep adding up because they had to get the artifact back from Mr. Chalmers but even with Deadpool getting a chi power boost these two were a bit out of their depths.

This was a fun read and I like the ending, I think the artwork goes perfectly with the energetic story. I can't get over how Gambit and Deadpool decided to work with Mr. Chalmers again especially when they knew he double crossed them before. I thought the 4th issue was rather interesting because it showed a bit of a backstory for the Scrambler and why he was mad at Gambit and Deadpool.

Deadpool v Gambit was an interesting read and it had a surprising twist to it, along with quite a few cameos. After reading this story, I don't think Gambit and Deadpool should ever team up again, they are truly terrible at working together but it does make for a good read.
