Book of Interest: A Kind of Paradise

This seems like an interesting story, I really want to know what mistake Jamie Bunn made at the end of the school year for her to be forced to volunteer at the library during the summer. As a bookworm, it's hard to see volunteering at the library as a punishment unless it's a dreadful place to visit with unhelpful librarians and rude customers.

But I don't think that's the experience Jamie is going to have but I want to read this see how her time at the library changes her.

Book: A Kind of Paradise by Amy Rebecca Tan

Description:

Thirteen-year-old Jamie Bunn made a mistake at the end of the school year. A big one. And every kid in her middle school knows all about it. Now she has to spend her summer vacation volunteering at the local library—as punishment. What a waste of a summer!

Or so she thinks.

A Kind of Paradise is an unforgettable story about the power of community, the power of the library, and the power of forgiveness.
