Review:

The Hitchhiker was nothing at all what I expected, it was a thrilling story filled with drama and suspense that surprised me throughout. The story follows 17 years old Christina Jenkins and Terri Martin who were driving through Florida on their way back to Cleveland, OH when they picked up a hitchhiker, 17 years old James Dark.

While Terri was reluctant to pick up the stranger, Christina was excited about the entire situation. She was attracted to James who was tall, muscular and had a dangerous and mysterious energy. Their troubles only seemed to multiply when someone starts following them.

As drama and suspense seems to build around James along with the possibility that he had something to do with an elderly man being attacked and robbed, there was something else also going on. This is a very fast-paced story, I thought the author did a fantastic job layering all the suspense and twists that will leave you guessing as to what will happen next.

I love finding old books and this one was published in 1993 making it 27 years old. I'm not sure if this book is still in print any more, I found it at a thrift store and it's still in great condition.
