Review:

Betty & Veronica: Shopping Spree! is a good read that features a fun collection of 23 stories that center around Betty Cooper and Veronica Lodge either shopping or at the mall. Whether the girls are shopping out of boredom, fun or altruistic reasons, they never seem to find what they were looking for.

From Betty and Veronica both showing up to school wearing the same outfit (but not for the same price) to the girls showing Archie and Jughead the benefit of off season shopping on a hot day. These fun and delightful stories also focus on Veronica trying not to buy anything as a way to curb her excessive shopping. It sounds like a daunting task but you will get to see if her willpower is stronger than her desire to shop. In two separate stories, both Betty and Veronica got a chance to use their shopping experience to do something cool and unexpected for someone who was dealing with money problems. The girls even tried to help their friend Ethel with trying to meet a guy who worked at the mall. While another story had the girls trying to do something nice for their moms by having a special day for them which includes spending time at the mall.

I enjoyed reading this, there are a lot of fun and interesting stories in this book as it follows two of Riverdale's best shoppers and you see how their approach to shopping differs. While Veronica has the money to buy whatever she wants (and she does quite often), Betty tends to stick to her budget and buys things she can afford and usually taking advantage of sales. But no matter how much their budgets may differ, these two never miss an opportunity to have fun shopping.
