Fashion Meets Fandom: Dr. Ellie Sattler (Jurassic Park)

Jurassic Park is not a movie you would normally think of for fashion inspiration because it's really all about the dinosaurs. From the magnificent recreation of them to everyone unfortunately trying to survive once the dinosaurs are free. But before any of that starts we see paleontologist Dr. Ellen "Ellie" Sattler arriving on the island wearing this casual outfit.

Since Ellie probably spends most of her time researching and digging up fossils, her wardrobe is probably filled with easy pieces she could throw together. This outfit which consist of a button down shirt, a tank top and shorts is not only comfy and casual but most importantly is it's practical. Because she needs to be able to move in whatever she's wearing.

I was inspired to recreate Dr. Sattler's outfit but I made two changes. Instead of the tank top I picked a t-shirt and instead of the loose baggy shorts, I went with something a little more fitted. The outfit still has that relaxed and casual feel just with a small change.
