I'm Staying Home but I've Developed Unhealthy Habits

I know it's important for everyone to stay home to stop the spread of the Coronavirus but I realized that I have been stress eating, bored eating, over eating, eating a lot of unhealthy things and not getting enough exercise. Usually, I'm more active and eating healthy but I guess the stress of what's happening in the world had me picking up some unhealthy habits. Well, there are at least two healthy habits I continued to do which are staying hydrated by drinking water and getting enough sleep.

I'm going to have to start motivating myself to get healthy again because most days I'm sitting on the sofa reading a book, on the computer or watching TV and not getting much exercise. I've gain a little extra weight during these weeks staying at home and to get healthy again the first thing I'm going to do is cut back on over snacking and over eating. My go to snack has been chips and cookies and I've been eating way too many of them. Eating a lot of junk food really drains my energy but when you want a quick snack I don't know why it's so easy to grab it off the shelf. Especially when it's just as easy as grabbing an apple or any other healthy snack.

The second thing I'm going to do is to make sure I'm eating less take out for dinner. I usually make my own meals for breakfast and lunch but sometimes for dinner I'll just order something. Because sometimes it's just easier to do that instead of cooking. The final thing I'm going to do is exercise for at least 15-30 minutes a day. I really just need to make sure I'm moving more as well as stretching more.

I also need to figure out a way not to stress out so much because there's so much going on in the world, it's hard to keep up. So, I make a point of staying informed by watching and reading the news however, I think it's adding to my stress. So I'm going to have to take more breaks from the news and do something else that more relaxing like reading, listening to music, calling my family, etc.

Getting healthy at home should be easy if I stay motivated and do what I'm supposed to do and not let stress and boredom cause me to make unhealthy choices.
