Happy May the 4th (or Star Wars Day)!

It's Star Wars Day!

How have you been celebrating the day? Are you wearing one of your favorite shirts watching one or more of the movies? Maybe you're only going to watch the series finale of The Clone Wars animated series? Maybe you're reading one of your favorite stories or finding a new one? What I love about Star Wars Day is that you get to enjoy the day however you want.

Not to add any negativity to the day but I think Disney should take a break from making more Star Wars movies and shows, at least for a little while. One of things I felt George Lucas did really well was not putting out a lot of Star Wars movies and TV shows. He didn't over-saturate the market by constantly releasing new movies and shows. I feel like the executives at Disney forgot the simple rule of quality over quantity because they keep announcing new projects.

The Disney sequel trilogy was so divisive among fans that I would think Disney would take a step back and see where the company went wrong with this last group of movies. I know I found some aspects of the movies to be disappointing especially the lack of focus and how rushed the story felt. For instance, I really wish Finn had been utilized better because the character had so much potential but it was wasted.

Anyway, Happy Star Wars Day and May the 4th Be With You!
