It's the 16th Anniversary for Spider-Man 2

I really enjoyed the first Spider-Man movie, it was great seeing Peter Parker (played by Tobey Maguire) go from shy student to becoming the superhero Spider-Man. I loved seeing the friendship grow between Peter and Mary Jane Watson (played by Kirsten Dunst) with that spark of something more.

As for the sequel Spider-Man 2, which was released in theatres on June 30, 2004, it is absolutely amazing. Tobey Maguire put in a perfect performance in this movie. Peter was really struggling so much and he was trying to balance his personal and superhero life. But it wasn't working at all which made it difficult for him in trying to stop the genius turned villain Dr. Otto Octavius a.k.a Doctor Octopus (played by Alfred Molina). He also had no idea his best friend Harry Osborn was holding a vindictive grudge against Spider-Man for the perceived murder of his father. Peter was dealing with a lot in this movie.

Mary Jane was struggling as well but on a different level. Her heart was conflicted because although she loved John Jameson and was planning to marry him, she couldn't ignore that her heart was with Peter. I love seeing how happy Mary Jane was when she ran out of the church, yeah she left John at the altar but she had to go with her heart.

There are so many things I love about Spider-Man 2, from the story to the action, it's so amazing to watch.
