Would you watch a 9-1-1 spin-off with Lou Ransone and Taylor Kelly?

First, I want to state that there have been no reports of a 9-1-1 spin-off for Police Detective Lou Ransone and TV Reporter Taylor Kelly. But there has been a lot of fan speculations and rumors that there might be one after the fifth season seventh episode Ghost Stories aired. Most fans including myself thought that episode was possibly a back door pilot for a spin-off. Because watching it sure felt like one especially since a lot of the screen time followed Lou and Taylor going up against each other as they both tried to solve the mystery about the guy who had been buried alive.

So far there has been no word on whether or not Ghost Stories was a backdoor pilot. But on the chance that it was and a spin-off is in the works, I might actually be interesting in watching a show that centers around the two of them solving mysteries. Lou is smart and likes to go after the facts and clues and not just jump to conclusions. As for Taylor, she might be annoying and a pest to nearly everyone she encounters, she is smart and does has an eye for zeroing in on stories. Although, I'm not a big fan of Taylor, I could see myself enjoying one of my least favorite characters on screen. Especially if the potential spinoff focused on Taylor as an aspiring investigative reporter wanting to center stories that deal with hard hitting news and uncovering the truth. And make her own up to how terrible she was in the second season episode Dosed and take responsibility for her actions.

A spin-off could give fans more backstory on Lou and know more about his life outside of being a detective. A spin-off could also fix Taylor's current stale and boring romance with her boyfriend Evan "Buck" Buckley. She has absolutely no romantic chemistry with Buck, however, strangely enough she had really good chemistry with Detective Ransone in the Ghost Stories episode. And due to recent reports, it looks like Buck and Taylor might be having yet again more relationship problems in the upcoming second half of the fifth season. It would make more sense for Taylor and Buck to break up and then have her slowly start something with Lou.

The Ghost Stories episode wasn't necessarily bad but having a TV Reporter trying to solve a mystery didn't make any sense on 9-1-1. Because her character as a roving reporter really doesn't fit in on a show about first responders. It would be better to have Taylor in a spin-off show than trying to continue forcing her into more scenes on 9-1-1. With that said if there was a 9-1-1 spin-off for Lou and Taylor that centers around mysteries would you watch it? As someone who loves mysteries, I would definitely watch it.
