Even with all of that going on Emily wore some really cute clothes throughout the movie. From casual day and cover up dresses to sophisticated and detailed cocktail and evening dresses. To practice her dancing, she wore a combination of t-shirts, tank tops, leotard or bodysuit, shorts and even a cover up dress over a swim suit while she was practicing in the water on the beach. She even wore the occasional pair of pants but not as often as the other pieces. Since this movie was set in Miami and with the hot weather, I like that the movie's stylist picked pieces that were more flowy and lightweight.
In the movie, Emily had a variety of outfits and in creating this Fashion Meets Fandom, I couldn't just settle on one look for her. I like that her clothes often had a breezy flowy feel to them which allowed for movement. As a dancer, that was great because she just might randomly break out into a dance routine, well this is a dance movie.
In finding Emily inspired outfits, I stuck with flowy pieces but also one fitted (not tight) dress since she also wore a few items that were in the movie. I separated her outfits into three categories: 1) Casual and Cover Up Dresses, 2) Cocktail and Evening Dresses and 3) Dance Practice and Rehearsal. I'd complete the various looks with a few accessories, heels, flip flops or sandals.
