Should 9-1-1 have another spinoff? If so, what would you like to see?

It's being reported in Deadline that FOX is considering another 9-1-1 spinoff, and as a big fan of the franchise I'm not sure that's a good idea, at least for now. Especially with they way the showrunners and writers have done such a terrible job with the first half of the fifth season of 9-1-1. I think they need to focus on fixing the original series before trying to add yet another spinoff to the franchise. Even the promotion for the first half of the fifth season was bad especially compared to how good the promotion was for the third season of 9-1-1: Lone Star. It's as if the original show has become an afterthought to the network, so I'm not sure how adding a new series would be a good idea.

However, if by chance the 9-1-1 showrunners and writers can pull off an impressive and spectacular second half of the fifth season and 9-1-1: Lone Star's third season continues to stay as good as it is now then maybe another series should be added. I was thinking about what spinoffs I would be interested in watching and there are three that come to mind.

The first is 9-1-1: Medical where the show would follow Henrietta "Hen" Wilson (Aisha Hinds) who is currently a Firefighter and Paramedic and is in medical school to become a doctor on the original series. I figure for a spinoff she could be in her first year of residency at a Los Angeles hospital dealing with all sorts of medical emergencies. The spinoff would also be a good way to focus more on the Wilson family because her wife Karen (Tracie Thoms), a Scientist and their son Denny (Declan Pratt) don't get enough screen time on the original series. I also want to see more of Hen's mom Toni (Marsha Warfield) and see if her romance with Clive Wexler (Kim Estes) will continue.

The show could also bring back her fellow med school friends Luis (Remy Ortiz) and Sydney (Vanessa Marano) who could also be doing their residency at the same hospital. They could also bring back Dr. David Hale (La Monde Byrd) who had left to go help in Haiti and maybe even bring back Michael Grant (if the Covid situation behind the scenes is more under control then maybe it will be possible for actor Rockmond Dunbar to return to the series).

The second spinoff is 9-1-1: Investigations which follows Detective Lou Ransone (Sasha Roiz) and TV Reporter Taylor Kelly (Megan West) where they butt heads trying to solve mysteries from a law and media point-of-view. I wrote more about this before, but I feel like instead of the showrunners and writers trying to force a news reporter into a show about first responders, which made no sense, they could move the character over to a spinoff that focused on the investigative angle they seem to want to wedge into the original show. Lou and Taylor have really good chemistry and it would be interesting see them go up against each other but also reluctantly working with each other from time-to-time in the spinoff series. Maybe even a romance could develop between them perhaps later on in the series because it would be disappointing to waste the chemistry they have.

Third, is 9-1-1: Boston as it would follows Paramedic Eli Cobbs (Mac Brandt) where the show could focus mainly on paramedic calls be it zany and weird or heartfelt and profound. Eli may have only appeared in two episodes of 9-1-1 but his character really stood out and it would be interesting to see more of his story in a spinoff.

Since another 9-1-1 spinoff is nothing more than talk and speculation at this point from us fans. But if the network does agree to another spinoff, I hope it will be something different and interesting and not something that's a rehash of both of the current shows. What do you think, should 9-1-1 get another spinoff? And if so, what would you like to see?
