Entertainment News #7: 9-1-1 Mini Crossover, Kyle Gallner and Paul Wesley

- Angela Bassett's 9-1-1 character Police Sergeant Athena Grant will be appearing on the upcoming Monday's episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star titled Prince Albert in a Can. The episode will center around an investigation where a 911 SWATing prank turns deadly. According to Lone Star's showrunner Tim Minear, "They are trying to figure out where the SWAT-ing call came from, and they trace it to Los Angeles". I kinda wish this hadn't been reported so that her appearance would be a surprise.

- According to repots, Kyle Gallner and Johnny Berchtold have been cast in the lead roles in Blumhouse Television and Epix’s movie The Passenger. The movie which is described as a dramatic thriller will be directed by Carter Smith. The general description for the movie follows Randolph Bradley (Johnny Berchtold) who is perfectly content fading into the background, but when his co-worker Benson (Kyle Gallner) snaps and goes on a violent killing spree, he’s forced to face his fears and confront his troubled past in order to find a way to survive. So far, there has been no information as to when this movie will premiere but I'll post it when it's available.

I think this seems like a terrifying concept with Randolph's co-worker Benson becoming a killer and most likely will go after him.

- Paul Wesley will star as Captain James T. Kirk in the second season of the Paramount+ upcoming TV series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. I'm surprised this was announced especially since the first season of this show hasn't even aired yet which is set to premire on Thursday, May 5th. Since I don't have this stream service, I do hope that series will eventually be released on DVD/Blu-ray.
