Characters Reading: Paul Strickland (9-1-1: Lone Star)

It's so rare to see someone reading a newspaper and not just on screen. I know the Internet has made it more accessible to get the news but it's also made it more difficult with some sites requiring you to pay or sign up just to read something.

Anyway, whenever I'm watching old TV shows, it's such a common thing to see someone reading a newspaper or buying one. Which is not the case in most newer and current shows because people aren't reading newspapers the way they used to. Which is why I thought it was rather interesting to see firefighter Paul Strickland reading one in the 9-1-1: Lone Star third season finale episode A Bright and Cloudless Morning.

Paul is one of my favorite characters and favorite fictional bookworms. On the show, it's been shown several times, Paul reading books or talking about reading. And I like that his reading also includes newspapers.
