Book Girl: Fashion Meets Fandom: Maddie Buckley

On 9-1-1, I noticed that Maddie Buckley's go-to look is a blazer paired with a button down shirt, t-shirt, cami or top, the occasional hoodie and jeans. She's worn this look frequently throughout her five seasons (seasons 2-6) on the show. Whether cute and casual for day or dressed up for a night out, this is a comfort look for Maddie. For this Fashion Meets Fandom, I was inspired by the outfit she wore in the second season episode Careful What You Wish For.

During this scene, Maddie had met her good friend and 9-1-1 Dispatch Supervisor Josh Russo for coffee. But it wasn't just a moment to hang out but for Josh to show Maddie just how much she had made a difference in doing her job. Earlier in the episode, she was feeling sad about how as dispatchers they never get to know if they make a difference. But thanks to Josh (and 9-1-1 Dispatch Manager Sue Blevins), Maddie got to hear from some of the people (including one she never would have expected) who she had helped and found out the impact she had on their lives.

Anyway back to this outfit, it's a soft pink corduroy blazer paired with a white button down shirt and jeans (that are either black or a really dark wash). It's cute and casual but still has a sophisticated feel to it.

To get the look, I found a pink corduroy blazer and paired it with a white button down shirt and flared jeans. And since I wasn't quite sure of the color or wash of Maddie's jeans, I picked two different ones that could go with the blazer and shirt. Maddie accessorized her look with several delicate rings, earrings, a nameplate necklace, a black tote bag and brown or beige boots. But I figure you can accessorize the look however you want.
