Fashion Meets Fandom: Trini Kwan

Athleisure continues to be a popular style, it's great for working out or just simply as something cozy and comfortable to wear. I wanted to take a 90s take on it for Fashion Meets Fandom with inspiration from Trini Kwan from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers season 1 episode High Five.

In this episode, not only was Trini at the Angel Grove Youth Center Gym and Juice Bar working out and hanging out with her friends, she was also fighting the villain Rita Repulsa's Putty Patrollers. She did all of that while wearing this outfit which was cute and comfortable and of course in her signature color of yellow.

I was inspired to recreate Trini's outfit which is a yellow striped crop top paired with gray leggings. She also has a yellow long sleeve shirt tied around her waist. Despite being a very 90s look, it's cute, fun and casual yet still perfect activewear for working out or fighting Putties.

To recreate Trini's outfit, found a yellow striped button up crop top, gray leggings and a long sleeve yellow top. Trini accessorized her look with a yellow headband, yellow socks, gym shoes, yellow scrunchie and a necklace. Since this is a simple easy going look, I figure you could accessorize it however you want.
