Happy Wednesday! Here are a few news bites:
- Update on the Station 19 petition as of now it has over 32,000 signatures and counting. The fans have really been rallying around trying to save the show. They also plan on having a Watch Party to rewatch and promote the show. I'll write more about it in another post.
- It's so sad to hear about the death of actor André Braugher. It's reported that he died on Monday, December 11th due to illness at the age of 61. He was a very good and versatile actor and had appeared in so many projects from historical (Glory) to comedy (Brooklyn Nine-Nine). I also would like to include a belated remembrance to Ryan O'Neal who died Friday, December 8th at the age of 83.
- The third season of Abbott Elementary will premiere on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 with an hour-long special episode on ABC. I'm not sure if it's one hour long episode or two episodes back-to-back. Anyway, here is the teaser trailer which includes a few interesting scenes that I'm really looking forward to seeing in the upcoming new season.
- Debut author Cait Corrain loses her book deal. It was due to her creating multiple fake Goodreads accounts that she used to leave bad reviews on her fellow authors' books. It's disappointing that she tried to sabotage those authors' books but ended up sabotaging her own career. She ended up having her book A Crown of Starlight pulled which was supposed to be published in May 2024. She also got dropped by her agent as well as had her two-book deal cancelled. I guess it goes to show that being duplicitous isn't worth it.
