Happy Friday! And welcome to this romance themed Fandom Friday, here are a few of my thoughts on the subject:
- I don't understand a lot of the decisions some Showrunners and writers of TV shows make in regards to romance and not wanting characters to be happy in their relationships or be in certain relationships. I understand if it's a drama you need to inject a bit of drama to their relationships. But there is nothing wrong with letting them enjoy being with each other. Because too much doom and gloom can leave viewers feeling tired of the ongoing drama.
I understand that it's the creators, Showrunners and writers' shows but there is nothing wrong with letting characters have moments of happiness or be in good relationships. I feel like a lot of Showrunners and writers for modern TV shows don't understand romance or have an aversion to it. They don't know how to craft a romance that hooks in viewers and if they do manage to accidentally create it, they never follow through with it. In a way, at times it feels like they would rather spite the fans and viewers for trying to tell them how to run their shows. Instead of noticing what viewers have been picking up on. Anyway, just a thought I had.
- It would be disappointing if Janine Teague and Gregory Eddie didn't end up together on Abbot Elementary especially with their chemistry. I'm not really interested in this current third season's story where it seems to be pushing Janine with Manny. For some reason, I don't quite trust him, he reminds of the smooth, slick and slimy con-man Templeton "Faceman" Peck from The A-Team.
Face is a charmer who knows exactly what to say and do to accomplish whatever scam he has going on. And that's how I feel about Manny, who totally charmed Barbara Howard and Janine. I wouldn't be surprised if he was working with Draemond Winding, the guy who wanted to turn Abbott Elementary into a charter school. I could see him trying to sabotage the district representatives' plan to improve Abbott Elementary. As for the romance angle, fans have been hoping for Janine and Gregory but I wouldn't be surprised if she does end up with Manny.

- I love watching both Station 19 and 9-1-1 and I'm very interested in all the romantic aspects. My favorite relationships from Station 19 are Dr. Benjamin "Ben" Warren and his wife Dr. Miranda Bailey and Maya Bishop and her wife Dr. Carina DeLuca. I'm still not sold on Robert Sullivan and Natasha Ross' relationship. They're okay, I'm just not that invested in them.
At this point with only ten episodes left (unless the show is saved), I don't see any love interest for Andrea "Andy" Herrera for the seventh season. To me, her perfect love interest was her ex-husband Robert Sullivan but I highly doubt they will reconcile. As for Travis Montgomery, I'm interested to see where his relationship with goes with Eli Stern. Unless Emmett Dixon returns and that leads to him and Travis reconnecting and possibly getting back together. Now for the final two characters, Victoria "Vic" Hughes and Jack Gibson, I wouldn't mind if they ended up together. They have that spark of chemistry that could easily lead to romance but I guess I'll see what will happen to them.

As for 9-1-1, I love all three of the main couples: Henrietta "Hen" Wilson and her wife Dr. Karen Wilson, Athena Grant and her husband Robert "Bobby" Nash and Maddie Buckley and her fiancé Howard "Chimney" Han. Each relationship has been built to showcase how perfect they are for each other. Yes, they have had their ups and down but they didn't give up on each other. They fought for each other and these relationships.
The same can also be said for my favorite non-canon couple Evan "Buck" Buckley and Edmundo "Eddie" Diaz. I'm completely invested in Buck and Eddie's relationship and them going canon. I love seeing when new fans start watching the show and they immediately start shipping Buck and Eddie. If new and old fans can see the chemistry between them and the storylines that continue to build up their connection, why does the Showrunner and writers ignore the fans wanting them to be together? They instead keep pairing them with random characters instead of each other. I guess time will tell, if the Showrunner and writers will ever go through with it.
