Why Doesn't ABC Seem to Care that a Transphobic Actress is on 9-1-1?

For the past few days there has been this big event The 2024 Winter Television Critics Association. I hope one day to be part of the Television Critics Association but if not I will continue to write regardless. Anyway, the TCA is when networks and streaming services invite TCA journalists to talk and write about their shows. I've been going through the Tweets and articles and it made me wonder if any of the journalists asked why ABC (which has been promoting nearly all their shows except Station 19) still has a transphobic actress working on 9-1-1?

I have been regularly writing about this because the trans community are some of the most targeted group of people. Especially with these constant bills that keep being introduced to make it harder for them to simply live their lives. So it makes me mad that the actress can spread hate toward this community and still keep her job. And not to mention that none of the ABC executives nor the 9-1-1 creator Ryan Murphy and the newly returned Showrunner Tim Minear have anything to say about the actress being on the show. As a small entertainment and lifestyle blog, I shouldn't be the only one writing about this. Why aren't the big sites or well-know entertainment journalists writing about this?

I'm disappointed that ABC doesn't seem to care that the actress is on a show that has a big LGBTQ+ fan base. Nor are they being questioned for it. Anyway, if you would like to leave feedback to ABC, here is the link to ABC's Programming Feedback and phone number for the ABC Viewer Feedback: 1-818-460-7477.
