Fashion Meets Fandom: Dr. Karen Wilson's Dress (9-1-1)

As summer approaches, so does the beginning of wedding season. Attending wedding are all about celebrating love. In the 9-1-1 episode There Goes The Groom (season 7 episode 6), Dr. Karen Wilson wore a dark floral dress to attend the beautiful would be outdoor wedding for Maddie Buckley and Howard "Chimney" Han. But due to unforeseen circumstances, the wedding was cancelled. However, Maddie and Chimney did get married albeit in Chimney's hospital room but they did get married. So, Karen's beautiful dress didn't go to waste.

This is my third Fashion Meets Fandom for Dr. Karen Wilson but I've never described her style. I would describe her style as girlie feminim sophistication. Her wardrobe includes classic pieces such as button down shirts, blouses, tops, turtle necks and sweaters, flowy maxi dresses, shirt dresses, pants and shorts and flowy kimonos and dusters. All in various shades of neutral and bright colors and bold prints and patterns.

Which is why I really love this dark floral V-neck maxi dress that she wore to the wedding. It's totally her style, the dress is soft and sophisticated and the dark florals gives it a bit of an edge.

To get the look, I had difficulty finding something that was close to the look of Karen's dress. But I did find two floral maxi dresses that have a similar look and feel of Karen's dress. Both dresses seem very light and airy, however, they are just not as long as her dress. However both of these dresses will take you from the wedding to the reception. And by some chance the wedding is in a hospital room, you'll still look amazing.

As for accessories, aside from her wedding ring, Karen had on a delicate gold necklace. I'm not sure if she wore any other jewelry. And for shoes, I don't recall if they were shown on screen and not to mention her dress was long so there really was no way of knowing what shoes wore. However, I figure she more than likely wore heels or strappy sandals. In the behind the scene picture, Tracie Thoms, the actress who plays Karen, wore what looks like comfy boots but I doubt that's what she wore on screen. Anyway, I figure you can accessorize this look however you want.
