However, one thing I'm so glad the Showrunner and writers dropped was that fourth season storyline where it seemed like Mateo Chavez might have romantic feelings for Marjan Marwani. Because up until that point Mateo had been shown to be nothing more than like a little brother to Marjan and definitely not a potential love interest. I think his relationship with Nancy Gillian may have been unexpected but they surprisingly work. They're just so cute and adorably weird together.
Anyway, back to the point of the post, I really love this scene between Marjan and Mateo in the episode Difficult Conversations (season 2 episode 5). Mateo has dyslexia which is a learning disability that at times can make it difficult with words and reading for him. He had got a tattoo based on a design he created but due to his dyslexia he accidentally mixed up the words and used angle instead of angel. Marjan being the good friend that she is, needed to tell him the truth. She didn't want to hurt his feelings but he needed to be told about his tattoo. It's been a while since I watched this episode but I do believe they went back to that tattoo shop (or perhaps another one) and they corrected Mateo's tattoo.
Marjan continues to prove what a good friend she is. 😊 #911LoneStar pic.twitter.com/5SsDgRTrEe
