Happy April Fool's Day!

Laughter is good for us but studies have shown that adults don't laugh enough. Certainly not as much as kids do. So for April Fool's Day why not take some time to watch some funny movies and TV shows, read a funny book or spend time with family and friends that make you laugh.

Also, if you're going to pull any practical jokes, make sure they're fun and not something mean or malicious. Happy April Fool's Day!

April Fools' Day: Harley Quinn - Batman: The Animated Series Marathon

To celebrate the Queen of Fools, I thought it would be fun to have a Harley Quinn: Batman: The Animated Series episode marathon. She might have only been featured in 14 episodes (listed below) but whether Harley is a main character or featured in a few minor scenes she's still fun to watch. Such as her first appearance in the Joker's Favor, her disturbing backstory in Mad Love, her joining up with Poison Ivy in Harley and Ivy and a big misunderstanding that leads to a chase in Harley's Holiday.

If this marathon is not enough Harley Quinn for you, there's also her big screen debut in Suicide Squad you could watch as well.

Aren't these Porg Easter Eggs the cutest? Don't you just love it when two holidays are on the same day. Please, try not to fall for too many pranks but do enjoy all the candy you can eat (but make sure it's not joke candy).

Blogging Update (and Happy April Fool's Day!)

Happy April Fool's Day!

I don't have any pranks or jokes, I just wanted to post an update. I can't believe this is the second time ever that I have not finished reading a book club pick on time. I will be finished with Shadowshaper by Daniel Jose Older today with a review posted tomorrow at the latest. And even though it will only be one day over, it still feels weird to not have finished on time.

So, why am I behind, well I guess I've been reading a large number of advanced reader copies plus making time to read my own and library books, that I guess I fell a little behind this time. I read about an average of 20-40+ books per month which is a lot of books. I've been receiving a lot of review requests, I think it's cool that my little blog is getting noticed but I know I can't fulfill all of those requests. I try to make sure to write back and thank them for contacting me but I need to find more time for that as well. 

In between reading, reviewing and trying to find time to enjoy life, I have several posts/editorials that I have been working on. But I also want to know if there anything in particular that you like me to focus on (i.e. books, characters, fashion, causes, lifestyle, collectables), please let me know.

If you're a frequent visitor to my blog then you may have noticed that I have been updating it. I streamlined a few of the sections such as book categories/genres to reduce visual clutter in the sidebar.

Well, that's it for now, I hope everyone will have a great weekend and try to avoid being pranked.
