Comic Book News: Marvel’s New Iron Man Is Riri Williams
Marvel has created a new character to possible take over as being Iron Man and her name is Riri Williams. I'm interested in learning more about the character, I do hope they actually draw her a really good iron man suit.
I wonder if this is as a way to appease fans after they killed off War Machine a.k.a James Rhodes for Civil War II. It's bad enough they severely injured the guy in Captain America: Civil War movie but then they decided to kill him off in the Civil War II comic book event. Poor War Machine, do the executives over at Marvel have something against him?
Anyway here is an interesting Time magazine interview with Brian Michael Bendis.

by Eliana Dockterman for Time magazine
There’s a new Iron Man. Well, Iron Man for now. She’s still working on the name. The events at the end of the comic book event series Civil War II will result in Tony Stark stepping out of the Iron Man suit and a new character, Riri Williams, taking over, Marvel tells TIME. (Note: Tony’s departure doesn’t mean you know the end to Civil War II yet.)
Riri is a science genius who enrolls in MIT at the age of 15. She comes to the attention of Tony when she builds her own Iron Man suit in her dorm. Creator and Iron Man writer Brian Michael Bendis spoke exclusively to TIME about the creation of Riri Williams with book artist Stefano Caselli and Marvel’s increasingly diverse cast of characters.
