Description:

Once upon a time, a troupe of has-been actors that starred on an old sci-fi show were enlisted by an alien race to save them from an intergalactic tyrant. Despite being way out of their depth, the cast somehow managed to save the aliens and stay alive... but their actions in outer space may have had dire consequences for another world. The cast of Galaxy Quest have enjoyed a career resurgence since returning from their intergalactic adventure, but all that is about to be interrupted by Qint, an alien with a very surprising ax to grind against Jason Nesmith and the crew of the NSEA Protector!

Review:

This was very slow moving and it lacked the fun humorous adventure that the movie showcased so well. The fun of the movie was that it was about this TV series that was similar to Star Trek but with a campier feel. Aliens somehow thought the TV series was the real exploits of this space crew and went to them for help. However, this comic wasn't really that funny and the characters' personalities didn't seem to mesh up.

Galaxy Quest: The Journey Continues takes place some time after the movie with both the actors and the TV series having made a comeback. But the actors soon found themselves being taken back out to space this time to help end a long fought war on the planet Dryth between the two factions. The aliens who came to get them believe that the device that they used, the Omega 13 was the cause of the aliens' downfall in ending the war.

After some clunky negotiations they were off to Dryth to set things right. Despite a few mishaps, they do find a way to help the aliens but it was very unimaginative with the ending leading into another possible storyline.

This was okay, it's definitely not the most interesting of stories. I guess I was hoping for something better than this and I really wish it had been funnier. The humor that was there seemed forced.

I had a problem with the artwork, there is no way to really distinguish Jason, Guy, Fred, and Alexander (and Brandon to some extent) they all had the same face. The artist didn't do a good job of making them look different from one another.
